In response to Congress’ passage of his “big, beautiful bill,” President Donald Trump described the comprehensive law on Thursday as “the biggest bill of its kind ever signed” and said, “it’s going to make this country into a rocket ship. It’s going to be really great.”

The last obstacle was the House of Representatives, which, after a marathon overnight session on Capitol Hill, narrowly approved the package by a vote of 218 to 214 earlier in the day. The Senate had previously passed the measure earlier in the week.

He mentioned that just two Republicans in Congress—Reps. Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania and Thomas Massie of Kentucky—opposed the measure. There was no support for it among Democrats.

Well, I was let down by Fitzpatrick’s actions. I was unhappy that he voted no because two of them voted it down, Trump stated.

He described the outcome as a sign of GOP unity as we approach Independence Day weekend.

Trump stated that it was simple to pass the bill in the House after reviewing it.

Trump emphasized the bill’s broad reach, stating that it includes significant investments in the military and border security in addition to the “biggest tax cut in history.”

“Great for security, great on the southern border, immigration is covered, we covered just about everything. The president reiterated that it is the largest bill of its kind that has ever been signed into law.

“We’ll have progress in record numbers,” he added.

According to the White House, the legislation will “create historic economic growth to usher in America’s Golden Age.”

“The bill offers the greatest tax reduction in American history, along with a number of other pro-growth measures that will significantly reduce our deficits and debt. America is going to take off like a rocket ship!” White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson told Fox News Digital.

Additionally, the president gave a sneak peek at a patriotic signing event planned for Independence Day.

The President intends to have an Independence Day signing ceremony with B-2 bombers and F-22s flying overhead.

Trump said he would formally sign the bill at the White House at about 5 p.m. on Friday, while a fleet of U.S. Air Force planes will fly above to commemorate the occasion.
